Nice Game

Hey.

Interesting concept of gameplay. Noting a few things now:

- Graphics detail is quite good, although they are to small. They fonts are a bit too small to read.

- It's difficult to read and play at the same time. (-:

- The shot of the main gun should move faster, because it's quite difficult to aim at things. Even firing "leading" shots is difficult, because the projectiles are too slow.

- I would change centering to the "S" key. Puts it right in between the "A" and "D" keys.

- How does repairing work? When I want to repair on demand, seems I can only do a large repair, then I only get little repairs after that (and even those aren't always available). Then, I get nailed. :-P

- Audio: Overall, pretty good. I'd add maybe two or three different sounds for some of these events, especially firing, because it gets monotonous and annoying very quickly.

Otherwise, neat game.

if a turret doesnt have the "repair" available, then it's either undamaged or there aren't enough resources to repair it :)

indeed, it's a bit offhand to read the story. on easy mode, the story lines come at a slower rate and are easier to read. besides, the story is synced with the (combat) events and some guys complained that the game is too slow for them...i guess the balance is hard to reach :)

Nice Game

Hey.

Interesting concept.

You should probably make a visual demonstration of how to play in your instructions, so it becomes more clear. A short tutorial or something would be nice.

When I cleared the level, I received this error messages continuously:

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at classesAS3::GamePlayer/checkForError(
)
at classesAS3::GameGame/mainLoop()
at classesAS3::GameLoop/doPlay()
at classesAS3::GameLoop/runGame()

Made the game a unplayable for me henceforth. Had to reload the game.

Also, when I quit the game, I get this error message:

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at classesAS3::GameLoop/mouseLeftUpClick ()

Other than those, not too shabby, soldier.

thanks for letting me know, this problem should be gone now.

Not Bad. In fact, I like it.

Hey.

It's me, Ziro, over from FlashGameLicense. How are you doing, soldier?

;-)

Not much has changed from my reviews from FGL, other than it looks like you finally cleaned up all those nasty ActionScript errors. Good work.

I did notice two typos however. In the Achievements page, you misspelled "Achievements" and "Don't".

Other than those, looks nice.

lol at voice acting - again. :-P

Congratulations getting your work sponsored, sir!

Skeik responds:

To be honest I just wrapped them up in Try Catch statements, but I did stop using dozens of on enter frame listeners, so that cleaned a LOT of stuff up.

Thanks for pointing out those typos, and thanks again for all the help. I tried to clean up as much as I could from your reviews.

Game Doesn't Start

Hey.

The game doesn't seem to start, and none of the buttons do anything. It's stuck at the "Get Ready For The Next Level" screen.

Tried reloading several times, and waiting a few minutes, and tried the buttons again, but still it would not proceed.

A side note: Regarding tip #2: Telling people not to complain about the difficulty is not a tip. If it's too easy or too hard, anyone who will provide _constructive_ feedback is gonna say something. Just so you know.

Currently rating the review 5/10 (neutral) since the game doesn't seem to load for me.

Game Seems Stuck

Hey.

Unable to rate the game, because it seems to not proceed past the Whirled loading logo.

Hi Ziro! It may take awhile to load. Please try again!

Nice Concept

Hey.

Gameplay was pretty solid.

Audio quality was pretty good. Although the game could use a little more detail in the graphics, and maybe add a few more sound effects, but what is currently available is alright.

Just couldn't get the purple gravity manipulator, which you're aware of at this point. :-P

The purple text in the instructions screen is hard to read.

The game is littered with typos. Maybe you're not too good with English? If you'd like, I'd be happy to help you correct all of them. :-)

Other than those, nice game.

Good Game

Hey.

Nice game. The fonts are a little hard to read, however.
The music got dull quickly, so I just muted it. I do like how you can mute music OR sounds, an ability which I think is often overlooked.

Just get rid of that ripped assets (yes, I can tell), and the game will be a little better.

What ripped assets?

If you're looking to build a 2D, single-player HTML5 Canvas game, look no further. I make games using JavaScript + Phaser. And if you're looking to convert your Flash game to HTML5 canvas, let's talk.
